How RushXO fares are set, how third-party prices are gathered, and how to get a correction
Guides on this site quote prices and timings. This page explains where each kind of number comes from, what it does and does not promise, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
RushXO fares
A RushXO fare is fixed at the time of booking for the route, vehicle and time you choose. It does not change with traffic, weather, surge demand or a delayed flight, and there is no night rate. Fares on this site shown as from £X are indicative starting prices for a standard saloon on a typical route and are there to help you compare options; the binding price is the one shown on the booking page before you pay. Where a guide gives a fare range for a larger vehicle, a longer route or a stop on the way, the same rule applies: the booking page is the contract.
Third-party prices, timetables and opening hours
Prices for tickets, passes, trains, coaches and attractions are taken from the operator's own public website or app on the date shown in the Last reviewed line at the foot of each guide, and the guides link to those pages in a Sources section so you can check the current figure yourself. Operators change prices, timetables and opening days without notice, and Christmas and engineering-work arrangements in particular are published late and revised often. Treat every third-party figure as correct on the review date and confirm it with the operator before you rely on it.
Comparisons with other transport
When a guide compares a RushXO fare with a train, coach, black cab or app-based car, the comparison uses published fares or published fare structures for the alternatives and a RushXO fare for the same route and time. App-based fares vary by minute and by demand, so where we describe them we describe how they are set rather than quoting a figure as fixed. If a comparison names another company, it is a factual comparison of published prices or service terms, not a claim about that company's quality.
Review cycle
Every guide carries a Last reviewed date. Seasonal guides (Christmas and New Year, engineering works, event days) are checked as operators publish their arrangements; year-round guides are reviewed at least twice a year and whenever a reader reports a change. Pages that can no longer be kept accurate are removed rather than left stale.
Corrections
If you find a price, timetable or fact that is wrong or out of date, message us on WhatsApp or use the contact page with the page address and what you saw. We check and correct within two working days and update the review date on the page. Corrections that affect a fare you have already booked do not change that fare.
