London City is the airport for people who need to be in a meeting, not in a queue. It is six miles from the Bank of England, its arrivals hall is a two-minute walk from the aircraft, and on a good morning you can be at a desk in Canary Wharf 25 minutes after landing. A pre-booked private transfer keeps that promise when the DLR is crowded, the weather is bad or you have more than a laptop bag: your driver is inside arrivals with your name, the fare is fixed in pounds, and the car goes straight to the office, the hotel or the cruise terminal.
LCY is compact and single-terminal. From the aircraft you walk (no bus, no transit train) to passport control — eGates for eligible nationalities — then a short reclaim hall and customs. Your driver waits in the arrivals area with a Rushxo name board. From board to car is a couple of minutes. Detail: how meet & greet works at LCY.

The DLR is excellent for a solo traveller with hand luggage going to Canary Wharf or Bank. It becomes a poor choice when you have a suitcase in the rush hour, when you are heading west (two or three changes), when you land in the last wave of the evening, or when you simply need to make calls on the way. The car costs more than a train ticket and less than an hour of your time.
