The train involves a change at Slough and a shuttle bus; the airport bus is slow and not covered by the fare cap; a car takes 25 minutes from the terminal with the child seats already fitted. Timings that work
The park opens at 10:00 on most days (season roughly mid-March to early November, plus Christmas events; check the Legoland calendar and tickets). Queues are shortest in the first hour. From a central London hotel, an 08:30 pickup arrives for opening; from Heathrow, a 09:20 pickup does. For the return, book a pickup 15 minutes after the published closing time at the coach and taxi drop-off by the main entrance — the driver waits, and the car park exit queue is someone else's problem.
Combining Legoland with Windsor Castle or a Heathrow arrival
Windsor Castle is two miles from Legoland. A common family day: Heathrow arrival, luggage in the car, Legoland until mid-afternoon, an hour in Windsor town, then on to the London hotel — all one fixed price, with the driver waiting at each stop.
