Getting to LaplandUK 2026: fixed-fare cars from London and Heathrow for families
LaplandUK sells out within hours every year and the transport is the bit nobody plans until the week before. The Ascot site is in a forest with no useful station, a walk from the car park, and a four-and-a-half-hour visit that ends after dark. A fixed-fare MPV from London, Heathrow or Gatwick with child seats fitted and a driver waiting at the end is the version of the day where the adults enjoy it too.
Venue and dates
LaplandUK 2026 runs from 7 November to 24 December 2026 at Whitmoor Forest, near Ascot in Berkshire (SL5 8BD), with a second site in Cheshire. Tickets went on sale in March and most sessions sold out; the experience is an immersive theatre journey lasting around four and a half hours with a timed start. Check-in opens before your slot, and late arrivals cannot be admitted to a session already under way.
Why 'nearest station' doesn't help
The nearest stations — Ascot, Bracknell, Sunningdale — are each a few miles from the forest with no bus link, a patchy taxi rank and no service at all on the days around Christmas. Families who come by train end up phoning for local cabs in the dark at the end of the session. A car booked for both legs avoids the problem entirely.

Timed entry and pickup back-timing
Give us the session time and we work the pickup back with a margin for the M25 and M3. For the return, the session ends roughly four and a half hours after it starts; we book the pickup for that time and the driver waits if it overruns.
MPVs, child seats, luggage
Child seats and boosters are free on request — give us the children's ages. MPVs take up to six with a pushchair; 8-seaters for two families or grandparents. Families flying in for the day can keep luggage in the car. See family airport transfers.
