Book a Taxi for Your Boss

London black cab parked beside a red telephone box

You book it, your principal rides it, and you watch it happen from your desk. Every RushXO booking made on behalf of someone else sends driver name, car and registration to you first, a live tracking link you can glance at mid-meeting, and a completion note when your boss is dropped. Pre-booked cars are dispatched early and confirmed in writing — because a PA's reputation rides on a 6:55am car for a 7:00am pickup.

The booking flow that keeps the PA in the loop

Most taxi apps assume the booker is the passenger. Yours isn't. RushXO separates the two properly: your boss gets the car, the quiet cabin and zero payment friction — you get every notification, so you're answering "where's my car?" before it's asked.

You see

Everything, before they ask

Booking confirmation in writing, driver details the evening before or an hour ahead, driver-arrived alert, live map link, drop-off confirmation. Forward any of it to your principal — or don't, and just know.

They get

A car that's simply there

A smart executive vehicle at the door before time, a driver who greets them by name, help with bags, the preferred route, the right cabin temperature — and never a card machine at the end.

Saved once

A principal profile

Home address, office, preferred vehicle, favourite driver, radio-off preference, usual routes — stored once against your account, so booking journey fifty takes ten seconds, not ten questions.

The daily patterns

The journeys PAs book most

The morning commute

A standing 7:00am car, dispatched by 6:55, same driver where possible. Set it once as a recurring booking — see our same-driver regular runs — and it repeats until you say otherwise, including through your own holidays.

The airport run

Office or home to Heathrow with flight-aware timing: we work back from wheels-up, factor the terminal and bag drop, and adjust for traffic so your principal is never the sweating one at fast-track.

The mid-day shuffle

Board meeting in the City at 11, lunch in Mayfair at 1, back for 3 — book each hop, or put a car on as-directed hourly hire so the same driver simply waits between stops.

The late collection

Dinner ends when it ends. The driver is positioned nearby from your earliest estimate, and one WhatsApp from you — or your boss — brings the car to the door in minutes, at the same fixed price it would be at noon.

Family & guests too

One account for everyone you book for

The role rarely stops at the principal. The same profile-based booking covers a spouse to an evening engagement, parents to an appointment, children on a school run with a vetted regular driver, and the principal's own guests — each with the right name on the confirmation and the right cost code on the invoice.

Household

Family journeys

Separate profiles for family members, with your chosen notification rules — full tracking to you, discreet minimum to them, or both.

Visitors

Their guests, handled

FAQ

Booking for your boss — common questions

Can I book a taxi for my boss and get the updates myself?

Yes — that's the default. As the booker you receive the confirmation, the driver's name, vehicle and registration, a driver-arrived alert, a live tracking link and a drop-off confirmation. Your principal just gets the car; you decide what to forward.

Can I track a taxi I booked for someone else?

Yes — every on-behalf booking includes a live tracking link for the booker, so you can watch the journey from pickup to drop-off and time meetings, greetings or dinner reservations around it.

How early does the car arrive for a pre-booked pickup?

Drivers are dispatched to arrive at least five minutes before the booked time — a 7:00am car is on the kerb by 6:55 with an arrival alert to your phone. Pre-bookings are confirmed in writing, not left to nearby-driver luck.

Does my boss have to pay or sign anything in the car?

No — the fixed fare is charged to your account or stored card, and the VAT receipt comes to you. There is no payment moment, no card machine and no tipping pressure at the end of the journey.

Can I set up my boss's preferences once and reuse them?

Yes — a principal profile stores addresses, preferred vehicle and driver, route and cabin preferences (radio off, temperature, no small talk). Every future booking applies them automatically.

What happens if plans change mid-journey?

Call or WhatsApp dispatch and we redirect the driver live — a changed restaurant, an added stop, a return brought forward. Fare adjustments, if any, are confirmed to you in writing before the invoice.

Can I book the same car at the same time every day?

Yes — standing daily or weekly bookings run automatically with the same driver wherever possible. See our same-driver regular bookings service for how recurring runs are managed.
