The law, honestly explained
In a licensed taxi or private hire vehicle, children may legally travel without a child seat if one is not available — but that is a legal exemption, not a safety recommendation. A properly fitted seat is dramatically safer, and every parent knows it.
We fit them free, in advance. Baby seats, child seats and booster seats — tell us the child’s age at booking and it is installed before we arrive. No charge, and no fumbling with someone else’s seat belt in an airport car park.
What to tell us when booking
- The child’s age and rough weight — that determines the seat.
- How many children — two seats mean a bigger vehicle; we will send one.
- Whether you have a pushchair — it needs boot space that a saloon may not have with luggage.
Where families use us
- Airport transfers — a long-haul flight with small children is hard enough without carrying a car seat through the terminal
- Hospital appointments — including maternity
- Days out — Legoland, Windsor, the coast. See our day trips.
- Everyday runs across London, Kent, Essex and Surrey
