Why cruise runs are different

Built around the sailing, not the stopwatch

⏱ Timing

Planned backwards from check-in

Boarding usually closes well before the printed sailing time. Give us the ship and departure, and we set the pickup with motorway buffer — you watch the sea, not the clock.

🧳 Luggage

Cruise cases actually fit

Two weeks of formal nights doesn't travel light. Tell us passengers and cases; we send a saloon, MPV, 8-seater or 16-seat minibus accordingly — no roof-box improvisation at the kerb.

🚢 The return

Ship-tracked pickups

Docking runs late, disembarkation queues happen. We monitor the ship's arrival and adjust the pickup — the fare stays exactly as booked.

💷 The bill

Cheaper than port parking?

A fortnight's port parking runs £190–£280 before fuel. For many parties the return transfer costs less — and when driving wins, we say so.

Fly-cruise connections

Land at Heathrow or Gatwick, sail from Southampton or Dover. We track the flight, meet you in arrivals and drive direct to the terminal.

Door-to-gangway from any London postcode or Home Counties address — one car, one fixed price, no luggage-on-the-train gymnastics.

👥 Groups

Sail together, travel together

Family cruises and celebration groups fit in one 8- or 16-seater instead of a convoy — one pickup time, one vehicle, one bill.

When to Leave for Your Cruise

Boarding closes before the time on your ticket. The backwards arithmetic, port-by-port pinch points — Southampton's summer Saturdays, Dover's ferry traffic, the Dartford Crossing — and the days that need extra buffer.

Cruise transfer questions

How early should I arrive before sailing?

Most lines want check-in complete 60–90 minutes before departure, and boarding often closes earlier than the printed sailing time. Tell us the ship and time — we plan the pickup backwards with buffer built in.

Will my cruise luggage fit?

Tell us passenger and case count at booking and we send the right vehicle — saloon for a couple, MPV or minibus for families and groups with big cases.

What if the ship docks late on my return?

We monitor the ship's arrival. Late docking and slow disembarkation move the pickup time, never the price.

Can you connect an airport arrival to the port?

Yes — fly-cruise runs like Heathrow→Southampton or Gatwick→Dover are among our most common. Flight tracked, met in arrivals, driven direct.

How much is a cruise transfer from London to Southampton or Dover?

Both are from £141 fixed for a saloon — around 80 miles and 2 hours 25. An MPV with cruise luggage is from £176 and an 8-seater from £192, with every Southampton and Dover cruise terminal covered.

Do you run long-distance cruise transfers — from the Midlands or Wales?

Yes — nationwide pickups are a speciality: Leicester to Dover from £318, Birmingham from £336, Cardiff from £407, with comfort stops built in on longer runs. One fixed price for the whole car, timed to your boarding window.

Is a transfer cheaper than parking at the port?

Often — official port parking for a 7-night sailing typically runs £100–£160, roughly double for 14 nights. A return fixed-fare transfer from much of the South costs less than the parking alone, with no driving tired after the voyage.

Which Southampton terminal will my ship use?

Southampton has five cruise terminals — City, Ocean, Mayflower, Horizon and QEII — and your cruise line assigns yours, confirmed on your e-ticket shortly before sailing. Tell us the ship name and we deliver to the right terminal door; if the allocation changes, the fare doesn't.
