Europe's biggest street party turns 60 in 2026 — two million people, the streets of W10 and W11 closed to traffic across the August Bank Holiday (main days Sun 30 & Mon 31 Aug). Getting there and home is the hard part. RushXO collects you door-to-door from anywhere in London, drops you at the nearest accessible point on the edge of the closure zone for a short walk in, and meets you afterwards well away from the cordon and the station crush. Group MPVs and 8-seaters, fixed fare from £45, no Bank Holiday surge, 24/7.
Return away from the cordon · free cancellation 24h
Notting Hill Carnival is the high point of the London summer — a Caribbean celebration that has filled the streets of West London every August Bank Holiday since 1966, and in 2026 reaches its 60th anniversary. Around two million people, dozens of sound systems and the famous mas bands take over the streets of Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove, which means the whole of W10 and W11 is closed to traffic and the surrounding Underground stations run exit-only or shut entirely at peak times. No car gets near the parade, and getting home afterwards on packed public transport is the part nobody enjoys. RushXO works around the closures intelligently: we collect you from your door, drop you at the nearest accessible point on the edge of the cordon for a short walk into the action, and arrange a return pick-up at an agreed point clear of the closures, so you skip the station crush at the end of a long, joyful day.

Our drivers follow the published carnival road-closure map for W10 and W11 and set you down at the nearest point you can actually reach — a short walk from the action, not a long trek from a distant station.
We agree a return pick-up point away from the worst of the closures and the crowds, sent to you in advance, so the end of the day is a short walk to a waiting car rather than a battle for the Tube.
An MPV or 8-seater takes the whole crew there and back on one fixed fare — nobody gets separated in two million people, and it splits cheaper per head than separate cabs.
Sunday's children's parade is the family-friendly day, and a door-to-door car with the buggy and the kids is far easier than the Underground — dropped close, collected close, no stress.
Carnival weekend is peak surge season for the apps. Your RushXO fare is fixed at booking and carries no Bank Holiday premium and no event multiplier, however busy it gets.

The closure zone shifts slightly each year, but the principle is the same: vehicles can't enter the parade area, so we use the nearest open road to set you down — typically on the fringes towards Westbourne Park, Holland Park or the Harrow Road side, depending on your approach and where you're headed within the carnival. You'll get a clear drop and pick-up plan before the day.
Sunday 30 August is Family Day with the children's parade; Monday 31 August is the Adults' main parade and the busiest. Tell us which day and roughly where you want to be, and we'll plan the closest sensible drop and a return point that's easy to reach when you're ready to leave.

"They dropped us right at the edge of the closures and gave us a clear pick-up spot for later. After a full day we walked five minutes to a waiting car instead of fighting for the Tube. Game-changer for carnival."
"Took the kids to Family Day in the MPV — buggy and all. Dropped close, collected close, fixed price with no Bank Holiday surge. So much easier than the stations, which were heaving."
"Group of eight, one minibus, fixed fare. The driver knew exactly which roads were open and where to meet us after. No surge, no splitting up, no stress. We'll book the same for the 60th."
