Tottenham Hotspur Stadium transfers, built around the High Road
N17 has one main artery and it runs straight past the ground. On event days the A1010 is closed in stages, the side streets go permit-only, and the rail options are thinner than almost any other big London venue. That is the problem this page exists to solve.
Seats, on a road that was laid out for a market town. Tottenham holds more people than Wembley Arena five times over and empties them onto a single high street, which is why the collection point matters more here than at any comparable stadium.
The stadium hosts four kinds of night, and each one leaves differently
A Saturday league game, an NFL Sunday, an autumn fight night and a summer concert are the same building and completely different journeys. We plan the return from the event, not from the postcode.
Matchdays
Fast, predictable exits. Sixty thousand people who have done it before and know where they are going. Closures lift quickly, and we are usually moving inside twenty-five minutes of the whistle.
International series games
A very different crowd: families, day-trippers, a lot of first-time visitors, and a much slower walk out. Allow an extra half hour and expect the streets to stay busy long after a football crowd would have gone.
Stadium fight nights
The latest finishes of anything at the ground, often close to midnight. Public transport thins out exactly when you need it, which is when a pre-booked return stops being a luxury.
Summer stadium shows
Curfews are strict, so finishes are punctual, but the crowd is less familiar with the area and spreads much wider looking for a way home. We set the meeting point further out on these nights.
Getting into N17 from Kent
Tottenham sits north-east of the river, which from Kent means a tunnel or a bridge and then a run up the A406 or the A10. There is no clever shortcut and anyone who promises one has not driven it. These are the realistic timings on an event day.

Where we wait, and why it is not the High Road
The stadium sits directly on the A1010, so the road nearest the turnstiles is the first one closed and the last one reopened. We collect off it. These are the points we work to, chosen by which way you are heading afterwards.

What makes Tottenham harder than it looks
The rail links are the weak point
Most big London venues sit on a tube line with enormous capacity. Tottenham does not. White Hart Lane and Northumberland Park are overground stations with modest platforms, Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale are a proper walk away, and all of them are rammed within minutes of a full house emptying. On a normal weeknight that is inconvenient. After a fight night finishing near midnight, with services thinning out, it becomes the reason people end up stranded. A booked car sidesteps the entire problem.
Parking is effectively not an option
Haringey runs a controlled parking zone on event days that covers a wide area around the ground, and it is enforced properly rather than nominally. The residential streets that look promising on a map are permit-only for hours either side of kick-off. Every year people drive up, circle for forty minutes, park somewhere optimistic and come back to a ticket. There is no version of this that ends well, which is why we quote a fixed door-to-door price instead.
NFL Sundays are their own animal
The international series games bring a crowd that mostly does not live in London, arrives early, stays late and treats the day as an occasion rather than a fixture. Tailgating, merchandise queues, a longer half-time and a slower exit all add up. We add roughly forty-five minutes to the return window for NFL games compared with a league match, and we tell you that when you book rather than discovering it together on the night.
Groups do best here
Because the transport is the weak spot, Tottenham is one of the venues where a shared vehicle makes the most obvious sense. Eight in an MPV or sixteen in a minibus costs less per head than the individual fares once you account for the walk, the changes and the taxi at the Kent end. Everyone leaves together, nobody is waiting on a platform at Seven Sisters, and the vehicle goes to each front door.

Can you drop us at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
We get you as close as the closures allow, which on most event days is a five to ten minute walk from the turnstiles. The High Road immediately outside the ground shuts to through traffic in stages before kick-off, so no vehicle reaches the doors. We tell you the drop street and the walking direction when we confirm, so nobody arrives disoriented.
Where do you collect after the match?
Usually the Northumberland Park side streets, which puts you on the correct side for the A406 and the tunnels back into Kent. If the closures run wider than usual, or you are travelling in a coach, we move to Lordship Lane. The exact point and the registration go to your phone before the final whistle.
How long does it take to get to Tottenham from Kent?
From Gravesend or Dartford, allow an hour to an hour and a half on an event day. From Medway, closer to an hour and three quarters. The variable is the Blackwall Tunnel, which is why we build slack into the departure rather than hoping. The table above gives realistic figures by area.
Is it different for an NFL game?
Yes, noticeably. NFL crowds arrive earlier, stay longer and leave more slowly than football crowds, and a much larger share of them are unfamiliar with the area. We shift pick-up times earlier and allow roughly forty-five minutes more for the return than we would for a Premier League fixture.
What about parking near the stadium?
Haringey operates an event-day controlled parking zone across a wide area around the ground and enforces it. Residential streets that look free are permit-only for hours around the event. In practice there is nowhere sensible to leave a car, which is why almost everyone who tries it once books a transfer the second time.
Can you take a supporters' club or a large group?
Yes. Sixteen-seat minibuses, twenty-four-seat midi coaches and forty-nine-seat coaches, with several vehicles run as one job for larger parties. Coaches use a separate set-down arranged per event rather than the car points, so give us notice for anything above minibus size.
Do you cover concerts and boxing as well as football?
All of it. Stadium concerts, title fights, NFL and league football. The building is the same but the timings are not, so tell us which event you are attending and we will plan the return around that specific finish.
What if the match goes to extra time or the fight card overruns?
The driver waits and the price does not change. Extra time, a long undercard or a delayed main event are normal, and they are our problem rather than yours. You are quoted on postcode, vehicle and timings, and that figure holds.
Is it cheaper to get the train?
For one person, sometimes. For four or more, almost never, once you count the fares each way plus a taxi at the Kent end. For a late finish it is not really a comparison, because the return leg from N17 after eleven at night is exactly when the network is least helpful.
Can we stop somewhere on the way?
Yes, and it costs nothing extra as long as we know when the job is priced. Food before the game, a pub meet-up, collecting someone en route: all fine, provided it is planned in rather than sprung on the driver.
