Northfleet is the town satnavs read flat and drivers learn vertical — chalk-pit edges, steep one-ways, estates stacked on the hill. We know it by heart, two minutes from Ebbsfleet International, with fixed prices from £25 and every airport locked in advance.

Northfleet has spent a century being overlooked by people rushing somewhere else: squeezed between Gravesend's high street and the glass of Ebbsfleet International, with Bluewater glittering one valley over. The chalk pits that once fed the great cement works carved the town into terraces and ledges, which is why a journey that looks like half a mile on a flat map can be a mile and a half of one-way hill in real life — and why a driver who actually knows Northfleet is worth more here than almost anywhere in Kent.
For your wallet, though, the geography is a gift. Northfleet sits closer to Ebbsfleet International than any other established town — a £25, four-to-seven-minute hop to a platform that puts St Pancras seventeen minutes away. It is a £25 hop to Bluewater the other way. And the A2 is moments up the hill, which keeps every airport price honest. Living in the overlooked town means paying the smallest connection fares in the area; our job is simply to make those connections feel effortless.

The Hill and the riverside. Old Northfleet around the church and the college almshouses, down to the working riverside where the chalk cliffs still show. The lanes here were laid out for carts, not crossovers — our drivers know which corners need a reverse and which doors need the short wheelbase saloon.
Perry Street and the spine. The shops, the takeaway run, the evening pickups along the London Road spine where Northfleet blurs into Gravesend. Short hops here live at the £25 minimum: quick, flat-priced, constant.
Painters Ash, Wombwell Park and Springhead. The school-morning belt. Standing bookings rule here — same car, same time, the run to school or to Northfleet station timed against the North Kent line's quirks. Springhead Park's newer streets fill our notes the way all new estates do: we learn them the week the boxes are unpacked.
Stonebridge Road on matchdays. Ebbsfleet United at home turns the riverside end into a procession. We stage matchday pickups a street back from the ground — final whistle, five-minute walk, car already idling — and the 8-seater full of friends splitting the fare has become its own little tradition.
Most of Britain needs an airport run to start a journey. Northfleet needs seven minutes. The commuter pattern we serve is unique to this postcode: pre-dawn £25 hops to Ebbsfleet's first High Speed services, evening collections matched to the train (we track the service, not the timetable, so a delay moves your driver automatically), and the hybrid travellers who take High Speed in from London and our car for the last hill home. For visitors it works in reverse — one fixed quote covers the forecourt pickup to any Northfleet door, name board included. The station may carry Ebbsfleet's name, but Northfleet is the town it actually sits beside, and our service is built around that fact.
Heathrow (44 miles). Up the hill to the A2 and round the M25, with the Dartford Crossing decision made on live data before departure. Saloon £94, drop-off charge inside the price.
Gatwick (36 miles). Over the bridge and down — the holiday classic, and our most common 3:30am job from Painters Ash. £79 at any hour; night rates do not exist here.
Stansted (42 miles). Tunnels, M11, done. Late landings find the driver already inside with a name board, the free hour counting from touchdown. £91.
Luton (51 miles). The long arc around the top — exactly the run where a fixed £104 beats a meter hardest.
London City (16 miles). The business shortcut: A2, tunnel, gate, often within half an hour. £35 — less than a day's parking at the other end.

Around those run the school mornings, the station drops, the Friday-night spine along Perry Street and the quiet 5am starts for riverside shifts. If it begins or ends on Northfleet's hills, we have driven it this week already — uphill, downhill and round the one-way, at a price agreed before the wheels turned.
The same promise holds across the patch: Gravesend along the spine, Ebbsfleet and its station down the hill, Swanscombe next door and Greenhithe & Bluewater over the rise — one number, 01474 554933, for all of it.
